E-invoicing (FATOORA) is supervised by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA). Phase 1 (generation) started on 4 December 2021 and Phase 2 (integration) started on 1 January 2023 in waves.

Your invoicing system should

• Issue tax and simplified invoices in the approved format
• Include a QR code on simplified invoices
• Store invoices electronically and prevent edits after issuing
• Be able to integrate with ZATCA when your company is targeted
